As the backbone of the charity, we are looking for a reliable and efficient individual to coordinate across the various teams to ensure deadlines are being met and action points are completed on time. The individual will play a key role in the charity and must be assertive, have good time management skills be able to prioritise. They will also be required to organise meetings, record minutes and facilitate venue bookings, as well as day-to-day administrative tasks.
Head of Outreach and Recruitment
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to lead outreach projects and recruit individuals for fundraising and volunteering opportunities. You will be involved with designing community-based projects to increase awareness of maternal healthcare in resource-poor settings and to be involved in recruitment processes by providing a clear route for people who wish to get involved with Maa. This will include focus groups and health workshops in the community, as well as coordinating with the media and external relations teams.
Head of External Relations
We are looking for a confident and organised individual to liaise and work with all external parties to build on the growing platform for Maa. This will include coordinating with other organisations and any media related requests such as television appearances, interviews, conferences, exhibitions and news articles. You will also liaise with the Media Team to help prepare any relevant material.
We are looking for a competent individual with good knowledge of the UK legal system to ensure that guidance from the Charity Commission is being followed, including writing procedural guidance policies. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the charity is held accountable to both the public and the charity commission, ensure appropriate legal procedures are followed when working abroad and will be liaising with the external relations and finance teams.
Head of Fundraising
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to coordinate our fundraising initiatives in the UK. As a crucial role within the charity, the candidate will be managing the Fundraising Team, as well as with representatives from various institutions in order to plan and carry out fundraising events. This role is vital to ensuring that the work that Maa undertakes is well-funded and can continue to improve the lives of mothers in resources-poor settings.
We are looking for a team of enthusiastic individuals passionate about the work that Maa does to organise, run and coordinate fundraising events. The ideal candidate will be an effective team player, organised and able to prioritise. You will need to work well together as part of your fundraising team whilst working closely with the Head of Fundraising.
We are looking for a proactive individual to build connections with universities and student societies across the UK, so they can fundraise and build a platform for Maa. You will facilitate the link between these universities and MAA, whilst liaising with the fundraising team, the Head of External Relations and the Head of Outreach and Recruitment.
Head of Media
We are looking for someone to coordinate all aspects of media output, including designing and scheduling campaigns, managing the photography, videography, the website and the media team. This is a crucial role to building our Brand Identity and profile.
We are looking for someone to design promotional material for both online and print purposes. The ideal candidate will be competent with using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience with using video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro is desirable. You will need to work well together as part of your media team whilst working closely with the Head of Media.
Social Media Manager
We are looking for a lively individual to publicise campaigns, recruit people for media related work, coordinate deadlines for marketing strategies as well as liaise with the Head of Fundraising to for promotional purposes. This will also involve monitoring the day-to-day activity on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, and developing an online presence. You will need to work well together as part of your media team whilst working closely with the Head of Media.

Ensuring our work in resource-poor settings is evidence-based and most cost-effective is crucial. We are looking for a competent individual who will provide direction using evidence-based literature to help design projects in resource poor settings, including forming academic partnerships, coordinate research, maintaining relationships with current partnerships, and producing content relevant to projects abroad. You will also need to manage the research team as well as liaise with both the Resources Team and the Head of External Relations.
We are looking for logical and focused individuals to carry out research on interventions relevant to maternal care in resource-poor settings by helping to construct a framework to design projects, produce content for presentations and booklets relevant to maternal health care. You will also need to work well together a part of your Academic Team, whilst working closely with the Academic Lead.
Head of Resource Management
We are looking for someone to source equipment needed for projects in the UK and abroad by liaising with the Academic Team. You will be required to form partnerships with external organisations to source the most appropriate and cost-effective equipment. Whilst providing direction to the resources team, you will also liaise with the finance team to ensure expenditure is being managed efficiently.
