We invite you to run with Maa in a 5km Colour Run! In conjunction with TheColorRunUK. The Colour Run will take place on Sunday, 8th July 2018, in an allocated time slot between 11am – 4pm (Exact time slot TBC). It’s the perfect opportunity for you and your family/friends to get involved and challenge yourselves in a fun and exhilirating way.
What to expect on the day?
Along the route there are four different ‘Color Zones’, each with a designated colour: Red, Orange, Pink and Green. As you arrive at the ‘Color Zones’ you will be doused with colour by our supercolourful volunteers. The colour is a special recipe of magical colour dust and all products are 100% natural, safe and food grade quality. There is also a dedicated Foam Zone for those who want to get even MESSIER! Remember that you are welcome to walk, hop, skip, or run the 5km, there is NO TIME LIMIT. So this guarantees to be a fun day for all. All ages are welcome.
How to get involved?
We ask for a non-refundable £35 deposit which will cover a fast-track entry fee on the day. If we can get more than 30+ participants running with Maa, an exclusive wristband will be given with access to fast track queues allowing you to be at the front of every Colour Zone; Colour Run Sunglasses; and an exclusive Maa T-shirt. (All of which for no extra cost!) So please encourage all your friends and family to get involved too.
As this is a sponsored event, we ask kindly if each participant could raise a target of £150 for Maa, with ALL proceeds going towards helping pregnant mothers in resource-poor settings. We provide simple, cost-effective and evidence-based interventions which will help prevent maternal deaths and ill-health. Last year, we reached over 300 mothers in the rural regions of Bangladesh. This year, with the help of your fundraising, we hope to reach even more.
